Text banner ads like on Google
Regular old graphic banner ads like everyone else
Custom Flash and graphic ads for local sponsors
Keep the donation thingy (hasn't helped much -bm).
Find a single sponsor and drive traffic as best as you can
Write web pages and software for other people (consulting)
All of the above in a tasteful mixture
Nix it all and hope

  Network of the Apes articles and news So the site was hammered by some script kiddies with some canned exploits today. The site held up well without it's attentive admin (me) at hand, but suffered a little lag and spiked CPU usage. Sorry if everything didn't show on the main page for a while, but that's what happens when Apache eats all of your CPU trying to answer PHP requests. The kids seemed to have stopped for now and when I get home from work, I'll be doing some forensic work to keep them better at bay and maybe offer a spanking. The site should be fine for now though. Thanks for bearing with it.
